ALISON RENY

Alison Reny is a recent graduate from Wright State University with a BFA in dance.  She has studied under many top dancers and choreographers from around the world. She has also choreographed and taught at numerous studios and programs throughout Ohio and Michigan, including the Wright State University Dance Intensive and The Ohio Dance Festival.  Last year her choreographic work “Grief into Grace” was selected to be performed at the Cystic Fibrosis Benefit in Dayton, Ohio.  She has performed in many musicals as well as dance concerts. 

Alison’s classes are non-stop and always full of energy.  She creates an environment where her dancers not only become stronger technically and physically, but grow as individual artists.  She plans to integrate all forms of dance including jazz, tap, ballet, hip-hop and contemporary.  Her goal is to train her students to be prepared for anything and everything that may lie ahead in the world of dance!

TALINA TOLSON

Talina Tolson is a choreographer and dancer who holds a BA in Interdisciplinary Studies of Dance from the University of Toledo. She is the founder, director and choreographer of  H.A.J.E.R.A., Dance Collective, and the University of Toledo Afro-Caribbean Ensemble. She is currently teaching Modern and Ethnic dance classes for the Toledo School for the Arts, and is the director of the Modern Dance Department for the Dance FX Academy of the Arts, Toledo, Ohio.

Ms. Tolson desires to teach dance classes that focus on the interaction between physical, emotional, mental, social, and spiritual aspects of each student. She also encourages the development of creativity, self-esteem, coordination, sociability, and self-expression through the medium of dance.

KERRI WILDE

Aside from her teaching endeavors at TSA, Kerri Wilde was a member of the Toledo Ballet faculty, and instructed modern, ballet fit, and ballet. She has an MA in Dance Therapy from Columbia College of Chicago, and a BS in Education in Human Performance emphasizing Dance from The University of Toledo. Kerri has trained with the Zoll Ballet, Gus Giordano, and at The University of Toledo with Elaine Valois. She has instructed and choreographed for The University of Toledo and Owens Community College.

ASHLEY HUNKER

Ashley Hunker began her dance experience at the age of three at Next Generation Dance in Hamilton, Ohio. She is now into her twenty first year of dance. Through Next Generation Dance, she was introduced to Hoctor’s Dance Caravan, where she participated in conventions and competitions and was inducted as a “Caravan Kid” at the age of eleven. Though she specializes in acrobatic-dance, she also has extensive experience in ballet, tap, and jazz. As a student of Bowling Green State University, Ashley was a member of the University Performing Dancers, which introduced her to Balinese and Korean dance forms, modern, and stilting. While she was a member of the University Performing Dancers, she performed in a story-dance piece entitled Bird Belly Princess, which was chosen to perform in the American College Dance Festival Gala at Ohio University. She also added musical theatre to her repertoire when she performed as a Kit Kat Girl in The BGSU Theatre & Film Department’s version of Cabaret. Currently, Ashley instructs a small independent acrobatic-dance group called “4D Revolution”. She also teaches introductory dance classes at Toledo School for the Arts, coaches middle school cheerleading for Arbor Hills, and works extensively with animals at the Wood County Humane Society.

BETHANY URBANSKI

Bethany Urbanski earned her Bachelor of Arts in Dance from Point Park University (Pittsburgh, PA) and has a wide background in theatre and dance. She has toured with Hoctor's Dance Caravan as a choreographer and Caravan Kid Coordinator, and has also assisted at Co. Dance conventions. Bethany is an exciting addition to our dance faculty. She also serves in the Development Department as our Outreach Coordinator and takes care of booking our numerous ensembles for community performances.

NIGEL BURGOINE

Nigel Burgoine is a classical ballet instructor and choreographer.  He is the current Artistic Director for Ballet Theatre of Toledo. Nigel is a graduate of the Royal Ballet School and a former principal dancer with the London Festival Ballet.   Nigel is also the past Artistic Director of the Toledo Ballet and Cincinnati Ballet and served as Director of the British Ballet Organization. He implemented education programs for dancers and communities in cities in Norway, Spain , England and the United States.  He is a founder and member of the London Festival Ballet Education Team.  Burgoine served as director of the education unit of the London City Ballet and the Dallas Ballet.  He has choreographed productions of Nutcracker, Cinderella, Giselle, Romeo and Juliet, Swan Lake, Carmen, Alice in Wonderland, Peter Pan, Coppelia and Aladdin.

SAMMY STAFFORD

Sammy started dancing when she was only three years old.  She has trained in ballet, tap, jazz, contemporary, and hip-hop.  She started choreographing at the age of 16 and has received numerous overall awards for her work.  She has been on the competitive dance circuit since the age of 5 and has won many awards and titles throughout the years.  She was apart of the first ever L.A. Dance Magic Company in 06-07 and participated in their show that was held in California. She was then asked to be an L.A. Dance Magic assistant for the 07-08 year.   She was invited to take part in Tap into the Network 4, which was a tap show held in California during the summer of 2008.


KYLE MOLTER

Kyle Molter, aka. "kylegene" from Monroe, Michigan, has been dancing for many years as a competitive dancer and student. He is trained in the areas of ballet, jazz, hip hop, lyrical, modern and contemporary. Now he's working mainly for Haja Dance Academy as a Competitive Instructor along with the Toledo School for the Arts doing Master Classes and Choreography, as well as other numerous studios and workshops. He also works for Nexstar Dance Competition and Hall Of Fame as a Back Stage Manager.


He has a love for dance that is seen through his teaching and his ability to motivate dancers to believe in greatness and quality of movement!  Kyle is a 7 time competitive scholarship winner, a platinum winning soloist including 7 regional titles, along with precision, intensity, and choreography awards, as well as an inspiration to his students!
